Bathing a dog

Bathing a dog should be given more importance. This is because if you are careless in bathing, the animal may end up with some infections. For example, if you close your ears with large cotton ball, water can penetrate the ear canal and can cause ear infections with signs like constant discharge from the ears and shake his head.

Frequency of bathing actually depends on the breed of dog. If the dog is a hairy type like the cocker spaniel, then bathing should be done once in six to eight weeks. If these breeds are bathed too often, the skin and the hair loses its protective effect. However, when the dog has defecated on the skin due to the frequent digestive upsets leading to diarrhea, to avoid bad smell, the dog may be subject to frequent baths sometimes by their owners.

Take more care in avoiding some irritant soaps or human soaps. The soap materials used for humans are not suitable for dogs. Similarly, many human shampoo products have certain ingredients that are not suitable in the proportions used in the case of dogs. So always try to use the shampoo products that are mainly for use in dogs. Take more care in using any new product.

Always have a good time and patience for products required for bathing in a space with the availability of water sources. Dogs love the sprinkling of water, rivers and oceans. Even when using a bathtub, all in one place and then start swimming dog. Try to have a leash, conditioner, towel, shampoo and instead of the bath.

Conditioner is useful to combing activity easier later. The bath should be an appropriate activity for the dog and owner. This should not be a burden.

  1. For instance a favorite chew toy could accompany your dog into the tub or wash area. Preferably you would like your dog to enter the tub or bathing area without you having to drag them to the wash area . So be prepared to exercise some patience during your initial foray into the bathing process.
